We collect personal details you voluntarily submit through forms, inquiries, bookings, AI scan lead capture, or other communications, including your name, email address, phone number, ZIP code, property address, city, state, business or organization name, service selections, description of your situation, and any other information you choose to provide.

When you request or receive services, we may collect information about the Property and the requested scope, including access details, conditions you report, scheduling information, sample and service details, and information needed to prepare and deliver an inspection report. Please do not provide information about another person unless you have the right to do so.

Our AI mold scan lets you submit a photo for automated analysis. We receive and store the uploaded image, the associated analysis ID, generated mold-type, confidence, severity, health-risk, and recommendation results, and the contact information you submit to receive a report. The image and results may be processed by OpenAI as our AI analysis provider and are made available through a unique report link. Do not submit sensitive personal information or protected health information in an image or prompt.

During an inspection, Spore Shield may capture photographs, thermal images, video, instrument readings, field notes, laboratory results, and other work-product data at the Property. These materials support the Services and Report and may be used in de-identified form for training, quality assurance, method development, aggregate analysis, and marketing or educational content as described in the Inspection Agreement. We do not disclose your name, street address, or other reasonably identifying information for those purposes without your prior written consent.

When you visit our website, technical and usage data may be collected automatically through hosting, analytics, security, and monitoring tools, including IP address, browser and device information, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and time spent on the Site.

We may use cookies, pixels, and similar technologies to support functionality, analyze usage, improve the Site, and remember preferences. You can control or disable cookies through browser settings, although disabling them may affect some features.

We use information to provide, schedule, and deliver mold inspection, testing, and indoor air quality services; process samples and prepare reports; operate the AI scan and deliver its results; respond to inquiries and quote requests; send appointment reminders and service-related notifications; send promotional or educational content when permitted; improve the Site and customer experience; monitor performance; detect fraud and abuse; and comply with legal obligations.

We use service providers to operate the Site and services, such as hosting and database providers, GoHighLevel for customer relationship management and scheduling, Resend for email delivery, payment processors, analytics and security tools, and OpenAI for AI-assisted image analysis. Independent third-party laboratories process collected samples when laboratory analysis is included. These providers may process information only as needed for their services and under their applicable privacy terms.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We may disclose information to the service providers described above, to an independent laboratory for testing, when you direct us to share it, when necessary to provide a requested service, when required by law, or when reasonably necessary to protect our rights, users, personnel, or property. We do not use inspection or AI results to make medical, insurance, or habitability determinations.

You receive SMS messages from Spore Shield only if you explicitly opt in. We may keep records of your consent and use your phone number to send service-related messages such as appointment confirmations, reminders, scheduling updates, results notifications, and follow-ups. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of purchase. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for assistance. We do not send promotional SMS without the required consent.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Information sharing with subcontractors supporting customer service, scheduling, and laboratory processing is permitted. All other use-case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.

AI scan analysis records and uploaded scan images are designed to be automatically pruned from the application after approximately 48 hours. Contact, booking, and lead information may be retained as needed to respond, provide services, maintain business and legal records, and manage customer relationships. For an inspection, the Inspection Agreement provides that the Report, laboratory results, and supporting field records are retained for not less than three years from service, with no obligation to retain them longer. Retention periods may also be extended when needed for a legal claim or obligation.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards to protect information. No online system or data transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure, so we cannot promise absolute security.

Depending on your location, you may have the right to request access to personal data we hold about you, request corrections or updates, request deletion, and opt out of marketing communications. You may also withdraw SMS consent by replying STOP. To exercise a right or ask a privacy question, contact us using the information below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
